- Parts' combined feedback
### Parts' combined feedback

The

**Part's combined feedback**was introduced in 2018 with version 4.81 of the Formulas question type. The

**Part's combined feedback**allows you to define,*for each part*, feedbacks for correct, partially correct and incorrect responses as well as a part's general feedback. For Formulas questions that have only one part, the part's combined feedback and the question's combined feedback will produce the same result.

The part's combined feedback is a useful feature for Formulas questions that have more than one part.

The use of the part's combined feedback is illustrated by examples below for quizzes set in the Adaptive mode behaviour

**.**### Example

Use parts' combine feedback in a question on geometry, as follows:

- The part's
**For any correct response**gives the*first*half of the solution for a correct response. - The part's
**For any partially correct response**gives the*first*half of the solution for a partially correct response. - The part's
**For any in correct response**gives the*first*half of the solution,**as a hint**, for an incorrect response. - The
**Part general feedback**gives the*second*half of the solution for correct and partially correct responses, and for an incorrect response only when there are no more points for the part due to penalties for tries.

## Question settings

The Formulas question should look like this:

- The part's
**Note.**When there are still points in a part, the**Part general feedback**is displayed, but it should not. This is a bug that will be fixed in an upcoming version of the Formulas question type.
